On reaching Aberdeen from the south, follow the signs for Inverness (A96) or airport until you see the signs for Banff (A947).Follow A947 until you see a sign for KING EDWARD. A bit further down on the right will be a telephone-kiosk, and further still, on the right-hand side of the road, a blue and white sign for NETHERWOOD, with a brown visitscotland sign for DURNO HOUSE underneath it. Turn left here and stay on the tarred road through the farm, past the big farmhouse on the left. Take the first right ( following the second brown DURNO HOUSE sign,) and follow the road past two white cottages on the left. DURNO HOUSE is the next house on the left. |
You reach us by using the A98 from Inverness , through Portsoy to Banff . Continue through Banff , and after crossing the river Deveron, turn right towards Turriff and Aberdeen (A947). Drive on until you come to a cemetery, and the road to Macduff on the left. Do NOT turn left here, but take a right off the main road (Myrus Avenue), and carry on this long straight country road for about a mile, passing two new bungalows on the right. DURNO is the next house on the right.
