Durno House, Aberdeenshire, Scotland

Durno House was built in 1904, a large traditional stone house, only a five minute drive from Banff and the coast. It is an idyllic countryside retreat and is perfect for a few days relaxation away from all stresses, without being too remote or inaccessible. There are lovely walks down to the river Deveron, a large garden to unwind in, and lots of friendly animals to keep you amused. When the Scottish summer is not at its best, the conservatory is a warm comfortable place to read, play games, or just enjoy the views.

On the first Saturday of the month we host a traditional ceilidh, an informal musical evening, where folk come from far and near to sing, play instruments, sometimes dance, or just to listen and enjoy a glass of wine. Our guests always love this special event, and are very welcome.

The 8 acre grounds provide many spots to sit and enjoy the views, stroll, kick a ball, play with the animals, or potter in our vegetable garden.
